A better starting point
Aluminum is strong enough to hold very large panes in a thin frame, which is why modern homes use it for big windows, glass corners and sliding walls. European systems add what Canadian homes need: thermally broken, insulated frames, triple glazing, multi-point locks and tilt-turn hardware. We supply and install them for new builds, additions and replacements, with our own crew on every job.

Schüco aluminum systems
Schüco is one of the best-known names in aluminum windows and doors, used on homes and buildings around the world. We supply and install Schüco windows, sliders and folding doors alongside other premium European systems, so each opening gets the right one.
Schüco AWS 75 PD.SI
The slimmest Schüco opening window: opening and fixed panes have the same thin frame, so a whole wall reads as one grid of glass.
Schüco AWS 90 AC.SI
A tilt-turn window with sound-absorbing vents in the frame, so a bedroom on a busy street can stay open for air while the noise stays out.
Schüco ASE 60/80
One platform for sliders and lift-and-slide doors, in one, two or three tracks, up to Passive House level in the 80 mm version.

Bifold doors in many panel layouts, folding to one or both sides, opening inward or outward.

Window styles
We supply and install European aluminum window systems, made to measure for each opening. Mix styles in one wall: fixed glass with a tilt-turn beside it, or an awning under a picture window.
The classic European window. Turn the handle one way and it tilts in at the top for safe, draft-free air; turn it further and it swings in like a door, so you can clean both sides from inside.
Hinged at the side to swing fully open, single or as a pair with no post. Or hinged at the top as an awning, which can stay open in light rain.
Picture windows and floor-to-ceiling glass that do not open. The slimmest frames and the biggest panes.
The opening part is hidden behind the outer frame, so opening and fixed windows look the same from outside: one clean grid of glass.
Two panes meeting at the corner with no post, for an unbroken view out of a living room or stairwell.
Tall double doors with a low sill, in the same frames as the windows, for a balcony or a walkout.

Large sliding & folding
For the back of the house, a pool or a view: sliding and folding systems in the same aluminum and colours as the windows, sized for openings of 5 m and more.
Barely-there frames between the panels, with the outer frame hidden in the floor, walls and ceiling. Panels more than 3 m wide.
Turn the handle and the panel lifts onto rollers, glides open, then settles back onto its seals. Panels weighing hundreds of kilos move with one hand.
Two walls of sliding glass that open at the corner with no post, turning the room into a covered patio.
Panels fold and stack to the side to open almost the whole wall. Best when you want the room fully open to the yard.
Pocket sliders are also available: the panels slide into a pocket in the wall, so the opening clears completely. Plan them early, as the wall is built around the pocket.

Insulating strips and foam inside the aluminum stop the frame from carrying the cold in, so there is no icy frame or condensation on the inside.
Our top window systems are built to Passive House level, the strictest energy standard for homes.
Insulated glass units up to about 80 mm thick, with Low-E coatings and gas fill. Triple glazing for the coldest walls.
Acoustic glass and seals for homes on busy roads and under flight paths.
Top-rated in European tests for air tightness, water tightness and wind load.
Locking points all around the sash pull it tight against the seals and make it hard to force.

Modern European aluminum windows are. The frames have a thermal break, an insulating strip and foam inside the profile, so the inside of the frame stays warm, and they take double or triple glazing. Our best-insulated system is certified by the Passive House Institute.
Vinyl costs less and insulates well. Aluminum holds much bigger panes in a thinner, stronger frame, keeps a crisp black or coloured finish, and suits modern homes with large glass. See our aluminum vs. vinyl windows guide for a full comparison.
A European window with one handle and two ways to open. Turn the handle one way and the top tilts in a few inches for safe ventilation; turn it further and the whole window swings in like a door, which makes cleaning the outside easy.

Yes. Each window is made to measure for the opening. On a renovation we can also make openings larger or add new ones, after looking at the wall and the structure above.
