Hinged or pivot?
A hinged aluminum door fits most existing openings. A pivot door turns on a point in the floor and can be much larger, but needs clear space on both sides. See our pivot door page.

A better starting point
Aluminum is what most modern European homes use for the front door: a thin, strong frame, a flat face that holds a crisp line, and a powder-coated or wood-look finish that never needs painting or staining. It suits the current look of flush panels, long pulls, dark colours and big glass, and it can be made larger than most steel or fiberglass doors. We supply and install it as a hinged door, a pair or a pivot door.
Flush slabs, fine grooves and long pulls, without the moulded look of a standard front door.
Taller and wider than most stock doors, with sidelites, transoms or a pivot for oversized openings.
Textured colours, wood, metal and stone looks that will not peel, warp or need refinishing.
Thermally broken frames, an insulated core, multi-point locks and laminated glass.
Popular looks
Shown here as design visualizations. Every look comes in any size, colour and layout, and can be a hinged door, a pair or a pivot.

The cleanest look
One tall, smooth slab with a full-height pull and no visible hinges.

Glossy black or white
A laminated glass face over the aluminum door. Reflective, glossy and easy to clean.

Quiet detail
Fine horizontal grooves that make the door look wider, in a single colour.

Warm, no upkeep
The warmth of oak, walnut or teak, built into the finish so it never needs staining.

A band of contrast
A wood, black or stainless band across the door, or a contrasting edge.

For big entrances
A pair of doors, or a door with a matching fixed panel, for a wide opening.
A hinged aluminum door fits most existing openings. A pivot door turns on a point in the floor and can be much larger, but needs clear space on both sides. See our pivot door page.
Glass beside or above the door brings light into the hall. Frosted or reeded glass keeps it private.
The two faces can be different finishes, so the door can match the exterior and the hallway.
Door styles
A selection from more than 100 aluminum designs. Every style can be made in any colour or texture below, as a single door, a pair, or with sidelites and a transom.
One clean slab with a long pull and, at most, a few fine grooves. The most current look, and it suits almost any modern exterior.

A slim strip of frosted glass set in a black frame, with a matching black pull. Lets light into the hall and keeps it private.

Aluminum tubes set across the door face, in wood looks or black. The slat-wall look, on a door that never needs staining.

Fine horizontal grooves with a strip or slots of frosted glass. Shown here with and without sidelites.

Two finishes on the outside face: a black or wood band, edge or diagonal across a lighter door.

A marble, concrete, patina or weathered-wood face, usually beside a tall glass sidelite.

Panelled designs with decorative glass, for traditional homes that want the low upkeep of aluminum.

Colours & textures
Aluminum is powder-coated or wrapped at the factory, so it will not peel, warp or need repainting. Choose the outside face, and a different one inside if you like. Colours on screen are indicative; we bring real samples.
Powder-coated with a fine texture. Twelve favourites, and about 50 more RAL colours.

Printed into the finish, so it never needs staining. Twelve of 24 shown.

One-of-a-kind faces: weathered woods, patinas, stone and leather.

Layouts, glass & hardware
Sidelites and transoms bring daylight into the hall, and the pull is the detail people notice first. We plan them together with the door so the whole entrance lines up.
Single, double or pivot, with sidelites and a transom where the opening allows.

All laminated safety glass.

Built into the pull or the frame.

Black, stainless, or matched to the door.

Inside the door
The aluminum profiles have a thermal break and foam-filled chambers, so the frame does not carry the cold inside. The best-insulated system rates 0.82 W/m²K for the whole door.
Three- or five-point hook locks, with automatic locking available. Tested to the European RC2 burglar-resistance class, with an RC3 upgrade.
Every glass panel is laminated as standard, and triple security glazing is available for sidelites and glazed doors.
Hidden hinges keep the face clean. All hinges adjust in three directions, so the door stays square and sealed.
The door face can sit flush with the frame for the cleanest look, or in a slim flat, curved or wide frame.
Pick a separate colour or texture for the inside face, for example black outside and white or marble-look inside.

Yes, when the frame is thermally broken. The doors we install have a thermal break and foam-filled frame chambers, and an insulated core, so the cold is not carried through to the inside. The best-insulated system rates 0.82 W/m²K for the whole door.
Steel and fiberglass are great value and come in standard sizes. Aluminum costs more but gives you a cleaner, flatter modern face, larger sizes, and finishes such as textured colours, wood and stone looks that never need painting. The finish will not need repainting or restaining.
Usually, yes. The door and frame are made to the opening, and we install it with new sidelites or a transom if you want them. If you want the opening taller or wider, we look at the wall and the header first.
