A better starting point
Vertical wood slats are everywhere in modern exteriors right now: slat walls, vertical siding, fences and soffits. This new garage door design brings that same clean, linear rhythm to the garage door. Under the mahogany-grain slats is an insulated steel door, so you get the look of custom millwork without the seasonal upkeep of real wood.
Tight vertical slats with a mahogany wood grain, the same look as an architectural slat wall or vertical cedar siding.
The slats are a moisture-resistant composite moulded from real wood, so they keep the grain but will not rot, warp or crack after a Toronto winter.
Four layers: steel, 2" polyurethane foam, more steel, then the composite cladding. A good fit for attached and heated garages.
Choose matched grooves for a subtle, minimal look, or black grooves for a bold, 3D slat effect.
Two looks
Both have the same vertical slats and mahogany grain. The difference is the colour of the grooves between the slats, which changes how bold the door looks from the street.
Subtle and minimal
The grooves match the slat colour, so the slats blend together into a calm, minimal surface. Available in all ten colours.
Bold and dramatic
Deep black grooves sit between the wood-coloured slats, so every slat stands out and the door reads like a real slat wall.

Flush, glass and wood-look
Compare the slat design with horizontal wood-look planks, flush steel and full-view glass and aluminum doors.

A dark slat door looks best when it ties in with the entry door, window frames, soffits or a slat accent wall. We look at the whole elevation with you.

Common project questions
It is a garage door with narrow vertical slats across its whole face, like a modern slat wall or vertical cedar siding. This design gives that look with a mahogany wood grain on an insulated door.
No. The slats are a composite cladding moulded from real wood, so they have a realistic mahogany grain, but they do not need staining or sealing and will not rot, warp or crack. That matters in Toronto, where freeze-thaw, road salt and wet springs are hard on real wood doors.
It has four layers: a steel base, 2 inches of polyurethane foam insulation, a second steel skin, and the composite wood-look cladding on the outside. The steel gives it strength, the foam keeps the garage warmer and quieter, and the cladding gives it the slat look.
With matched grooves, the grooves are the same colour as the slats, so the slats blend in for a subtle look. Black grooves set deep black lines between the wood-coloured slats for a bold, 3D slat-wall effect. Black grooves are only available in wood-look finishes.

Not yet. Solid doors are available now, and versions with windows are coming soon. If you want windows, tell us and we will let you know when they can be ordered.
There are colour chips and a larger hand sample of the slat panel, so you can see the grain and groove depth up close. Ask us about seeing one when you send your photos.
